A Tribute

so many years had passed and still the

love and loud voices of the ones abused people

still echoes in our hearts

the freedom has finally been granted

for those who were hurt,

for those who cried,

for those who lost a son, a daughter,

a father, a mother

now yellow roses flooded in the air

singing voices of the free people echo,

prayers are murmured,

thanks have been said from the heart

as they all bid farewell

to you, our mother of democracy.

Dear Shea,

Congratulations! The Poetry Committee met last week and your excellent poem was selected for the Save The Whales Poetry Anthology. We are thrilled with the poem and delighted to have a student from the Philippines.

Unfortunately, we do not have enough poems meeting our criteria for a book at this time, and we are extending the submissions date to the end of the year, December 31, 2009. This means that it will be after that date before we will begin the work of publishing a book. You will receive a copy after it is published.

There are a couple of forms attached to this email, one for you to sign and one for a parent or guardian to sign.
